Role of one to one tuition in Special Education
Demanding school syllabus can be stressful and frightening for children with learning difficulties. Receiving the attention and support that a student with special needs requires and deserves is often difficult to achieve in the classroom environment. Several research studies demonstrated that intensive one-on-one tuition is an effective remedial intervention helping students with unique learning difficulties achieve their learning outcomes. Early intervention delivered through one-on-one tuition provides slightly different teaching approaches compared to these used in a classroom setting. Such attention allows the student to improve knowledge or skills far more rapidly than in a classroom setting because the teaching is specifically tailored to his or her learning style and needs.
Tailored tutoring to cater for specific learning needs
One-on-one tuition is the best way to cater for students’ specific needs and requirements. One-on-one tuition enables discovering the learning styles and methods that can help them catch up. It is critical to set up realistic, effective and appropriate goals and objectives for students with learning difficulties of what the tuition will achieve in a given time. Based on these goals, a tailored academic plan needs to be designed for each student.
